The cogs in Britney Spears' much-hyped musical comeback have have been set in motion, with the singer auditioning dancers for her new video.

The Gimme More singer was snapped looking sleek and relaxed in black as she made her way to the International Dance Academy in Hollywood.

Hundreds of hopefuls turned up to try their luck at appearing in what is shaping up to be most highly anticipated pop promo of 2008.

Britney's upcoming single Womanizer  will be the first from her forthcoming album Circus, which will hit stores for the singer's 27th birthday in December.

It's hoped the new single will mark a return to form after last year's half-baked comeback.
