STRICTLY COME DANCING: The Contestants!

Saturday saw Strictly Come Dancing 2008 show off its brand new contestants for the first time.

With sixteen celebrities ready to step up and improve their dancing skills this year, the competition looks set to be a hard-fought one..

The celebs this year include: Jesse Wallace, Gillian Talyforth, Phil Daniels and star of the Nescafe adverts Cherie Lunghi.

Holby City’s Tom Chambers is also joining the line up after postponing his honeymoon for the show.

Olympian Mark Foster, ex-tennis champion, GMTV presenter Andrew Castle, England rugby star Austin Healey and finally polo champion and model Jody Kidd are all hoping their athleticism will give them a head start.  

S club 7’s Rachel Stevens and M People’s Heather Small are hoping to to use their skills as performers in the race.

While George Clooney’s ex Lisa Snowdon, Chef Gary Rhodes, Jon Sergeant, Don Warrington and Christine Blakely are ready to try their hand at ballroom dancing.
