Britney Spears is not set to strike a pose on the cover of Vogue – quashing any rumours that the troubled star’s comeback will be led by fashion’s first magazine.

Reports surfaced that Britney would be appearing in Vogue’s pages when the New York Post said, "Vogue's celebrated Patrick Demarchelier has come to the U.S. from London to photograph Britney Spears."

Yet these claims did not stand up as a source tells E! News that the princess of pop’s one and only time on the magazine’s cover was in 2001.

The source added that American Editor Anna Wintour, "will never put her on the cover again. Britney's just not a Vogue kind of girl."

A rep also confirmed that the reports were false and, "She is not appearing on or in Vogue."
