The day began without a bang, as thousands of hopefuls auditioned in Scotland - only to be turned away.
28 year old housewife Suzanne Gibb claimed she, “could definitely give Whitney Houston a run for her money,” but after three attempts at her chosen song she was given the boot.
Simon said, “Even if she started out right it would still be wrong. "
He then added, “Scotland last year delivered Leon but you never know which way it will go.”
The teeth pulling didn't stop there with a memorable performance by 64-year-old Glen - stage name Sterling Sonata.
Simon immediately compared Sterling to Jimmy Saville and his audition resulted in four obvious nos from the panel.
Yet Saturday's show was not a complete lost cause as a few potential winners came out of the woodworks.
17 year old Joelle Moses wowed the judges with her rendition of Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing earning a “one hundred per cent yes” from Simon.
And last but not least 38 year old Daniel Evans - a struggling father - reduced Cheryl and Danni to tears with his heartbreaking story.
Daniel sadly lost his wife after she gave birth to their daughter one year ago.
His audition showed potential - securing his place in Boot Camp.
