Britney Spears Rules At The VMAs!

Britney Spears' comeback was given a huge boost last night - when the former pop wreck walked away with three gongs at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The singer - who opened the show - picked up Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and Video of the Year her Piece Of Me video.

New mum Christina also triumphed at the awards, performing her new single Keeps Getting Better.

The Genie In A Bottle singer – who hasn’t performed since giving birth in January - stunned the crowd with her tight-fitting stage costume.

But the pop princesses were not the only stars to wow the VMA’s - Kanye West brought the climax to the show a year after insisting he'd never return to the event after his treatment at the 2007 VMAs in Las Vegas.
