Helen Mirren is urging fans to read the whole story before judging her on her date rape comments.

In an interview with GQ, the Queen actress sparked controversy by saying that female rape victims should not take their attackers to court as it is unlikely they will get charged.

Helen also admitted that she had been date raped several times and that she loved snorting cocaine when she was younger.

The 63-year-old has pleaded with the public to read the full
interview instead of believing the media's ‘sensational’ take on her comments.

A statement released by her representative, Stan Rosenfield, says, "Helen Mirren does not dispute the accuracy of statements attributed to her in an upcoming GQ article.

"She merely asks that people read the article in its entirety before drawing conclusions.

"She does not wish to qualify any of her remarks. She just wants to avoid having them presented in inflammatory language."
