Britney Spears' reinvention from screeching trainwreck to hot mama continued as the singer hit up Las Vegas over the weekend.

There was not a straggly weave in sight as the singer attended a performance of The Beatles Cirque De Soleil in the gambling capital.

In fact, with her pretty dress, perfect make-up, sleek hair and new slimline figure, the star looked better than we've seen her in a long while.

Brit is up for video of the year, best pop video and best female video all for her track Piece of Me at this month's MTV Video Awards, but is not expected to perform at the event.

Still, it looks as if she's determined to put her shambolic rendition of Gimme More at the 2007 awards firmly behind her.
