Brad Pitt has collected an award one year on - only to have George Clooney steal his thunder.
The Fight Club star made his way onto the stage at the Venice Film Festival, to collect a gong for his performance in The Assassination of Jesse James.
Yet while he was up there, mistress of ceremonies, Ksenia Rappoport, also handed Brad a flower which he graciously accepted - only then to be told that it was for his pal George Clooney.
Being the gentleman he is, Brad accepted the flower on George’s behalf, as well as his much deserved award.
Brad won the award for Best Actor last year but couldn’t appear to accept it.
According to the Daily Mail he said, “It was an honour to receive this last year and it's an honour to receive it this year. Thank you very much.”
