A company called 220 Labs claims to have worked with the actress before she established her own brand.
They are now suing Kate for misappropriation of trade secrets, fraud in the legal documents and a whole host of other complaints.
A spokesperson for the You, Me and Dupree star denies the claims, “Kate does not know the plaintiffs and has never met with them or spoken with them.”
“Her representatives believe that the claims are baseless and without merit and (they) intend to vigorously defend the lawsuit."
Lawyers claim that the key ingredient – called volcanic ash – was not Kate’s to use.
The plantiffs are also demanding unspecified damages and attorneys' fees.
