Gary Glitter has returned to the UK this morning after serving nearly three years in a Vietnamese prison for child molestation.
The disgraced popstar touched down at Heathrow Airport at 7.10am (BST) after a whirlwind week which has seen him deported twice from Thailand and once from Hong Kong.
Glitter said nothing as he was taken through security amid a swarm of photographers and journalists.
He will now be interviewed by police and forced to sign the sex offenders register. His whereabouts and holiday plans will also be subject to strict monitoring.
Glitter was originally deported from Vietnam on Tuesday after serving nearly three years behind bars for child molestation.
The popstar then flew to Bangkok where he was deported to Hong Kong. Chinese authorities then sent back to the Thai capital.
Glitter was jailed in March 2006 for molesting two girls aged eleven and twelve. His sentence was reduced by Vietnamese authorities last year.
Previous reports have claimed that Glitter plans to revive his music career following his release.
