The actor is said to have escaped the French chateaux where partner Angelina Jolie and their brood of six – including newborn twins Knox and Vivienne – are currently holed up to enjoy some “guy time” at a local eatery.
An eye-witness tells Star that Brad sampled caviar, pasta with lobster and filet mignon, followed by several glasses of champagne.
"Brad seemed happy to be free," said the onlooker. "He was out until after midnight and never checked in with his family once.
"In fact, he didn't text or call anyone the whole night!"
According to an insider, Brad loves his family but relishes time for himself.
"He's still an independent guy," says a source. "He dotes on Angelina and the kids, but if he didn't save alone time for himself, he would go crazy!"
