It appears that Victoria Beckham will not be strutting down the halls of East High after all.

Her reps have dismissed rumours that the former Spice Girl is slated to play a sexy English teacher in the upcoming High School Musical 3: Senior Year.

Speculation that Posh was set to exercise her acting skills again was heightened after the movie's star Zac Efron gave the Brit his backing to land a role in the film, saying, "She (Victoria) is hot, funny - and let's not forget her success with The Spice Girls."

However, the move has been dismissed by Beckham's spokesperson, who insists the star has not been offered a role in the film.

The representative says, "She has not been approached, but the Beckham boys are big fans of High School Musical."

Beckham isn't a newcomer to cameo acting roles - she appeared in an episode of hit U.S. show Ugly Betty, playing a diva bridesmaid.
