Pete Doherty: 'I Feel So Sorry For Amy Winehouse'

Amy Winehouse’s recent health worries have prompted her friend Pete Doherty to admit he feels for the troubled star.

The Camden caner was rushed to hospital on Monday after suffering a reaction to medication at her London home, but was discharged on Tuesday.

Winehouse has suffered a string of health problems this year, including a bout of infectious skin condition impetigo and traces of deadly lung disease emphysema, while her husband Blake Fielder-Civil is in a London jail for assaulting a pub landlord in June 2006.

And the Babyshambles frontman admits he sympathises with Winehouse's plight.

He tells Loaded magazine: "She's not been married for a year and her old man's locked up. It's a lonely life and she's completely hounded by the papers. I feel so, so sorry for her."

Maybe he’s just sad because he’ll have no one to go boozing with.
