Miley Cyrus has had her fair share of controversy recently, and now a condom company is adding to it by approaching the 15-year old to be the firm’s spokesperson and promote safe sex among teenagers.

The Hannah Montana star wants to shake off her child image and appeal to an older audience, and an executive for LifeStyles Condom thinks promoting their company would be a perfect way to show she has matured.

He tells New York Daily News: "With recent reports showing that one out of four teenage girls has an STD (Sexually Transmitted Disease) and the high level of teenage pregnancy, we believe that Miley is both influential and relatable to this afflicted set - and is the obvious choice to get the message of safe sex out to teens across America."

But the offer will shock fans of the singer/actress, who insists she is still a virgin and proudly wears a purity ring.
