Britney Spears Set For MTV Music Awards Comeback

Britney Spears may be given a second chance following her dismal performance at last years MTV music awards.

The recovering pop mess is up for Best Female Music Video for Piece of Me at this year's awards.

But, with last September's embarrassing appearance still fresh in their minds, bosses are said to be wary of letting Britney loose at the ceremony again.

A source tells the Mirror, "They are going to leave it up until the week before to decide. But they can only advise her - Brit will do her own thing."

Britney faces some tough competition in her catagory from Katy Perry for I Kissed a Girl, Rihanna for Take a Bow, Mariah Carey for Touch My Body and Jordin Sparks for No Air.
