Mariah Carey Dismisses 'Rocky Marriage' Rumours

Mariah Carey has shot down rumours that her marriage to Nick Cannon is already in trouble.

The couple tied the knot in April just a month after hooking up on a video set, and reports that cracks are starting to show in their relationship have surfaced in recent weeks.

But Mariah insists all is well in her fairytale world.

"It's good," she gushes to MTV. "Life is beautiful, and things are going well."

She also reveals her response to stories that "things are rocky and hazy and messed up" in her marriage.

"I'm like, 'Why would we have gotten married to do that?' " she said.

"People are going to say what they say, but what would be the purpose? I guess other people do those things for a purpose, but I don't know. I'm ecstatic, so be ecstatic with me! Be happy with me. Can we celebrate?"
