Lindsay Lohan appears to have over-estimated the public interest in her rumoured romance with Samantha Ronson.

The actress is said to have been left fuming after being snubbed by paparazzi and fans at a New York airport in favour of David Beckham, who'd just jetted into the city for a LA Galaxy game.

"As Lindsay arrived at the luggage carousel, she saw crowds of people rushing through,” a source tells the Mirror.

"She started to turn on her smile but it soon became a scowl when everyone practically trampled over her to get to Beckham.

"There must have been about 30 fans pushing through to get his picture.

"She turned to Sam and said, 'Where are they all going - who the hell is that?' Lindsay was gutted."

Needless to say, Lindsay launched into some serious public displays of affection at the Sephora party that very same evening.
