If you are hoping for a new Britney Spears album this year, you may be kept waiting.
Having earlier this week been photographed coming out of a recording studio with manager Larry Rudolph, the pop wreck’s record company Jive released a statement saying she’s "spending her summer in the recording studio, working on a brand-new album."
However, the Toxic singer has other ideas about which direction she wishes to take her career to.
A music industry heavyweight told Page Six: "Britney wants to focus on her TV and movie career right now.
“Jive and Larry are having trouble getting her to record, so they forced her hand with the statement and photo releases."
