Christian Bale says he will never judge Heath Ledger for his hedonistic lifestyle.
Bale has long be famed for his clean-cut life, while his Dark Knight co-star was renowned for his his partying and addiction to prescription drugs before his death.
However, Bale says that Ledger should be remembered for his acting skills and not his way of life.
He said: "He was a nice guy and out of this world as an actor. We got on and I never disapproved of his lifestyle. It's not up to one person to pass judgement on another person that way."
Ledger died from what is believed to be an accidental overdose of prescription drugs in January.
