The Jolie-Pitt twins have caused outrage in Nice after the birth overshadowed a high profile murder case in the city.
Protesters have been gathering outside the Foundation Lenval hospital in the city where Angelina Jolie gave birth on Saturday.
They are upset that the Mayor of Nice celebrated the birth of the Hollywood couple's latest offspring instead on concentrating on the murder.
Mayor Christian Estrosi appeared on the steps of the hospital displaying the birth certificates of the twins and described the births as "a pride to Nice and all its citizens."
He then went on to grant the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt honorary citizenship of the Nice.
