Michelle Williams To Make Heath Ledger Tribute Film

Actress wants to keep the late actor's memory alive for their daughter...

Friday 11th Jul 2008

Heath Ledger's former girlfriend Michelle Williams is reportedly planning to make a film of the late actor's life

The actress is said to be keen to keep his memory alive for the sake of their two-year-old daughter Matilda.

"It makes Michelle's heart ache that Matilda was so young when Heath died and she's unlikely to retain any memories of her father," a source tells the Australian Daily Telegraph.

"She (Williams) wants to keep his spirit alive with something Matilda can treasure all her life."

The proposed film will feature friends and colleagues sharing their memories of the Brokeback Mountain star.

Ledger died in January in his New York apartment from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs.

  • I think this is a great idea especially since I assume Michelle will also include many pictures or video excerpts of Heath with Matilda so she can actually see how much he loved her while he was alive. There are even interviews where he has talked about Matilda and Michelle (his girls). I really believe it is a loving tribute and something Matilda can hold on to as she grows. After all, who doesn't want to know they were loved? This says alot about Michelle Williams, the person and mother.
