Miley Cyrus Upstaged By Selena Gomez & Demi Lovato?

Is scandal-hit Miley Cyrus about to lose the title of Disney princess to BFFs Selena Gomez & Demi Lovato?

At 15, Wizards of Waverly Place star Gomez is already being tipped as the 'New Miley' – and now it's been revealed that she's planning on following the Hannah Montana star into music when she starts work on an album later this year.

While Gomez insists she takes the Miley comparisons as a “compliment,” she is quick to highlight the differences between the two starlets.

"I think it's an honour, it's a good compliment," insists Gomez.

"But I think I might want to take a different route when it comes to that. I love acting and that's my passion.

"So I would love to do more movies and some serious things like that. So maybe a different road with me."

Lovato – star of the hugely successful Camp Rock - is also keen to establish herself as a star in her own right.

"It's a huge honor," she tells In Touch. "But I try not to listen to all that, because I know Miley and I are different people - and Camp Rock and HSM are two totally different movies. 

"But if we could have an equal amount of success - that'd be amazing!"
