The estranged wife of Alex Rodriguez is reportedly threatening to release 'incrimimating' texts that her husband sent to 'pal' Madonna.

The singer and baseball ace have been forced to deny allegations of an affair, following tabloid reports linking them romantically.

Cynthia Rodriguez has cited her husband's alleged adultury as a reason for her subsequent £50million divorce suit against the New York Yankie.

And she is also said to be in possession of text messages A-Rod sent the married singer.

“They were instrumental in convincing her that he was besotted. The messages could be released if things get really ugly,” a source tells The Sun.

Another pal says A-Rod acted like a “smitten schoolboy” as he exchanged texts with the pop superstar.
