Tom Cruise has reportedly been one of the hundreds of well-wishers to congratulate Nicole Kidman on the birth of her baby girl.

The actress is said to have received “a room full of flowers” from her former hubby since welcoming daughter Sunday Rose on Monday.

"Nicole and Keith are besotted with their baby. Nicole wants to be a very hands-on mum and has shunned all offers of help,” an insider tells The Mirror.

"But her sister and a nanny will help out in future if needs be.

"She has had hundreds of bouquets of flowers from well-wishers.

"Tom was one of the first people to get in touch and he sent her enough flowers to fill a room.

"Even Australia's Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, sent her a hand-written note.

"She's touched and amazed by it all."

Little Sunday Rose will be baptised in Australia on Sunday by the same priest who married Nicole and husband Keith Urban two years ago.
