Miley Cyrus Ditches Boyfriend Over Revealing Pics

Miley Cyrus has reportedly ditched boyfriend Tom Sturges in an attempt to repair her scandal-hit public image.

The Disney starlet is said to have ended their relationship after  MySpace photos surfaced in April which showed the 16-year-old lifting up her shirt as she lounged on a bed with her man.

It seems that Miley is now taking steps to put her scandalous slip ups behind her and is letting it be known that she is currently single.

The 15-year-old singer sparked controversy for acting much older than her age when she was snapped topless, wearing just a bedsheet, by celebrity photographer Annie Leibowitz for Vanity Fair magazine.

But the photo scandal hasn't stopped the teenager from embarking on a more adult music release with her forthcoming album Breakout, because she wants to be taken more seriously as a songwriter.

She say, "I wrote all the songs, except two. My last (record) was more just meeting me, finding out who I am, and here, it's more getting in depth of what's been going on in my life in the past year."
