Amy Winehouse has reportedly added to her long list of dependencies by developing a tanning addiction.

The troubled star has been looking less pasty of late after buying a tanning bed in a bid to heal her scabby skin.

But, this being Amy, it seems that she is taking her quest for glowing skin to extremes.

“Amy can’t do anything by halves. Recently she has been going for it on the sunbed, but she won’t be told,” a 'pal' tells The Sun.

“She bought it to get rid of scabs that started appearing on her skin.”

The star is said to spend an hour a day bathing herself in potentially harmful radiation, and has even been known to doze off under the ultraviolet lamps.

The source adds, “Over the years Amy has been addicted to alcohol, all sorts of drugs, men and even knitting.

“This is another addiction that puts her health in danger.

“Why can’t she take up squash or something?”
