Amy Winehouse has confessed to taking heroin while in rehab.

The troubled singer - whose continued drug abuse is likely to be responsible for her recent emphysema diagnosis - lifted the lid on her destructive efforts in a candid interview.

She told a Rolling Stone reporter, who spent time with the singer in her London home, "I've never been to rehab - I mean, done it properly. I'm young, and I'm in love, and I get my nuts off sometimes.

"To be honest, my husband's away, I'm bored, I'm young. I felt like there was nothing to live for. It's just been a low ebb."

Following Amy's shocking admission, her management are said to have put her under 24-hour surveillance in a desperate attempt to keep her clean from drugs.
