Angelina Jolie is being eyed up for the Sin City sequel by director Frank Miller, after she revealed her intrigue about what the next instalment could offer.

The currently pregnant actress is a huge fan of the slick 2004 comic book adaptation, and Miller is keen to get Jolie on board - he has a character lined up for her and is eager for her to peruse the script.

And the Tomb Raider star is interested in Miller's offer, because she thinks the moviemaker is a "genius".

Jolie tells MTV: "I found the first Sin City impressive, but I don't know what they're going to do with the next one to make (it) as original as the first one.

"I'd be curious. I think he's a genius."
