Britney Spears’ mother Lynne informed an LA court that her daughter “intends to return to Louisiana” and leave the bright lights of California behind.
Though she has spent most of her time in Beverly Hills, the Toxic singer has owned a home in her hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana for almost decade.
In a declaration to the L.A. Superior Court filed on Tuesday, obtained by Us Magazine, the new grandmother explained why Britney has been in the Sunshine State for so long.
"Britney has spent a majority of her time over the last five years in the state of California due in part to work but primarily with respect to a custody dispute currently ongoing," she explains.
The pop wreck’s ex-husband Kevin Federline currently has primary custody of their two young children, Jayden James and Sean Preston.
