Amy Winehouse's husband has pleaded guilty to assaulting a man and then attempting to cover the incident up, court officials have revealed.
Blake Fielder-Civil's charges of grievous bodily harm and conspiring to pervert the course of justice relate to an incident outside an East London pub in 2006.
Fielder-Civil, 26, entered a guilty plea last week but a reporting restriction prevented it being made public until today, reports the Associated Press news agency.
Winehouse's husband's plea came at the end of a week of pre-trial arguments that saw the singer watch her husband from the public balcony at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
During her visits to court, Winehouse shared a number of mouthed conversations and exchanged smiles with her husband.
At one point she is said to have compared her husband's trial to “Disneyland”.
Fielder-Civil faces a maximum of five years in prison over the assault charge.
