John Mayer was faced with an embarrassing photo op when he was pulled over by cops in L.A. yesterday.
The singer – and one half of new celebrity coupling, ‘Johnifer’ – was stopped in West Hollywood at 12.15pm after officers noticed his green Land Rover was missing its rear license plate.
Mayer was ticketed for a registration violation and then allowed to continue his journey, according to the West Hollywood Sheriff Station's watch commander.
Before driving off, he told the gathering of paparazzi, "We’ll take care of this, it’s an unfortunate situation...we’ll make amends."
No doubt Mayer will be waxing philosophical on his blog about the incident very soon.
