Miley Cyrus avoided major disaster when the set of the new Hannah Montana movie collapsed.

The teen starlet had been filming in Columbia, Tennessee when a large piece of lighting equipment blew into a Ferris wheel full of people by strong winds.

However, Cyrus had just finished filming a scene for The Hannah Montana Movie when the incident occurred.

Unfortunately a number of extras sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospital, reports TMZ.
