Patrick Swayze has denied reports that he is well enough from his cancer battle to star in a sequel to 1991 movie Point Break.
Writer of the original screenplay, W. Peter Iliff, has penned a follow-up, and insists Swayze will reprise his role as bank-robbing surfer Bodhi with co-star Keanu Reeves who will play F.B.I. agent Johnny Utah.
He tells Us Weekly: "We always wanted Patrick to return. He'll definitely be surfing."
Swayze was diagnosed with deadly pancreatic cancer earlier this year, but Iliff adds of the actor's health: "Things are going well, he's fighting the good fight."
On Wednesday Swayze issued a statement revealing he is responding well to cancer treatment, but his representative insists he will not be taking part in a Point Break sequel.
