Is Alanis Morissette Pregnant?

Alanis Morissette has been photographed recently looking a little plump, prompting speculation that the singer is expecting her first child.

The singer, who releases her new album Flavors Of Entanglement next month, has been single since 2006 after splitting from ex-fiance Ryan Reynolds, who is now engaged to Scarlett Johansson.

Another reason for the 33-year old’s weight gain could be her refusal to give in to record industry executives who labelled her as fat.

She recalls how a bigwig once "suggested I was getting too fat, saying: 'You need to go on a diet.' My response was, 'But I'm a singer.' He said, 'Yes, well, you need to get small again.'"

"That started a whole cycle. Two days later I was sticking fingers down my throat."
