Mariah Carey Denies $4 Million Wedding Party

Mariah Carey has dismissed rumours that she and her husband Nick Cannon are set to host a lavish wedding ceremony in New York with $4 million (£2 million).

It had been reported the recently married couple, who got hitched in the Bahamas last month, were planning to host an extravagant reception to renew their vows in front of their friends and family.

Although Carey hasn't ruled out plans for the ceremony, she insists the reported multi-million dollar price tag is laughable.

In a statement to MTV she writes: "4 milly? (million) On what? Cake? Lol (laugh out loud)."
