Britney Spears’ father Jamie has decided to become full-time conservator of his daughter’s assets, quitting his job as a caterer.
The pop wreck’s dad was made conservator of his daughter’s legal and financial affairs in February after her infamous meltdown which resulted in her being sectioned. Jamie is also in charge of her estate until the end of July.
However, according to court papers, he is set to take on a full-time position as conservator, being awarded a $2,500 (£1,250) weekly salary for the role.
Spears was also awarded a $10,000 (£5,000) lump-sum to cover the first month of his co-conservatorship over his daughter's estate, according to People.
The court documents also give the reason why he needs to quit his job as a caterer, with the papers stating the responsibilities of conservator "have required (his) full-time attention".
There will be a further court hearing on 29 May to discuss monetary matters in greater detail.
And it seems Spears' role over-looking the singer's affairs is paying off. Since he was appointed conservator, the 26-year-old has secured expanded visitation rights with her two sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.
