Pete Doherty Defends Amy Winehouse Mouse Video

Pete Doherty has spoken out about the controversial videos of him and Amy Winehouse playing with one-day-old mice.

The videos, one of which is entitled Winemouse, was made less than two weeks after the Babyshambles singer was released from prison.

The troubled British stars filmed the clip which sees the Back To Black hitmaker use the rodents to pass on a message to her incarcerated husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

In the footage she seemingly makes reference to recent reports she is set to split from Fielder-Civil, saying: "Please don't divorce mummy."

Speaking to reporters at a charity football tournament in East London this weekend, Doherty gave an honest account of the footage.

“One of the mice gave birth didn't it? I think it was Jennifer. She (Winehouse) was really fond of them,” he said.
