Angelina Jolie’s ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton has said he’s “happy” for the pregnant star.

Fellow actor Billy Bob split with Jolie in 2002 after their passionate marriage reportedly faltered due to Angelina’s insistence on becoming a mother, but Thornton says he’s harbours no hard feelings.

He tells TV show Extra, “I'm happy for the kids to have a mother like her and a father like him (partner Brad Pitt).

“I think she was always meant to be a mother in so many ways. I'm just so happy for her."

The five times married star also says he has the utmost respect for Angelina’s charity work.

"I'm astounded that somebody has that kind of passion and that much energy for something that actually does affect people and help people out," he explains.
