...more Actress Cynthia Nixon has laughed off reports she is to wed her partner Christine Marinoni, insisting she would only consider marriage if it was legal in her native New York.
The Sex and the City star, 42, was alleged to be planning a low-key ceremony to make her romance with Marinoni official later this year.
But Nixon, who has been dating the education activist for four years, is adamant there will be no wedding - as long as gay marriage is outlawed in the Big Apple.
She tells British chat show host Graham Norton, "It's untrue. 'Cause we can't get married. (But) we could get married for pretend!
"We live in New York; New York has no same sex marriage. I think one day soon, hopefully, it may (be legal), and then I think we'll consider it."
