Halle Berry's 'Engagement Ring' Explained

Halle Berry set tongues wagging when she pictured wearing a diamond ring on her left hand over the weekend – but it appears the engagement reports may be a little premature.

The actress and boyfriend Gabriel Aubry welcomed their baby girl, Nahla Ariela, in March and it appeared that the Oscar-winner was ready to solidify their commitment even further when she flashed her new sparkler at the EIFN Revlon Run/Walk in L.A. on Saturday.

However, insiders insist that the ring was a present to herself.

"It's not an engagement ring," a source close to the star tells People.

"Halle just saw it and thought it was beautiful so she bought it for herself."
