Wedding bells could be just around the corner for Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal, according to a new report.

A friend of the Legally Blonde star reckons the actress is likely to be the next female star to be sporting some engagement bling.

They've been talking marriage for a while," the source tells OK!.

"They'll be formally engaged any day now. They want to spend the rest of their lives together."

Reese is said to be keen to formalize her relationship with Jake the sake of her two children by ex-husband Ryan Phillippe.

"This is a very serious relationship," the pal continues. "But Reese is very conservative and traditional.

"I'm sure she doesn't want her kids to see her 'living in sin.'"
