Wayne Rooney’s Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson has not been invited to his wedding to Coleen McLoughlin.

Despite Fergie nursing Rooney’s career in recent years - with his team expected to secure a second successive Premiership title this weekend - the Scot did not make the final wedding guest cut.

A source tells The Sun, “Having your boss at your big day is a bit awkward.

“They thought it would be better to invite people they were closer to rather than workmates.”
