It's emerged that Mariah Carey may have her ex-boyfriend to thank for her whirlwind romance with Nick Cannon, which resulted in their surprise wedding last week.
Insiders claim it was music producer Mark Sudack who urged the pop superstar to call Cannon and ask him to play her love interest in the pop diva's promo for new single, Bye Bye.
Cannon and Carey fell in love on the set two months ago, and the couple exchanged vows in a sunset ceremony at the singer's home in the Bahamas last Wednesday.
A source tells Life & Style magazine, "Mark thought Nick was a good-looking guy who'd be perfect for the video.
"But, as soon as Mariah met Nick, she fell for him. And everyone on set could tell Nick was crazy about her, too."
