Tom Cruise Blames Oprah For Couch Jumping Incident

Tom Cruise has blamed Oprah Winfrey for the infamous sofa jumping incident of 2005, claiming that the chatshow queen egged him on.

Appearing on a special edition of Oprah, the actor opened up his home and allowed her to see his family life first-hand, three years after Tom was let loose in her studio and abused her furniture.

Oprah took it upon herself to quiz Tom about his bizarre appearance on her show in 2005 where he proclaimed his love for wife Katie Holmes.

She recalled: "I was like, 'Wow, what was that?' If you could take it back, would you still jump on the sofa?"

Cruise candidly replied: "It was a moment and it was real" and "I just felt that way. . . . That was just how I felt."

He then went on to tease Winfrey, joking: "You were egging me on, you were egging me on. . . . You were egging me on."

Jokes aside, the Risky Business actor still finds it tough to describe what it was he was feeling on that day. "I can't even articulate it," he said. "It's something I just can't articulate.
