Madonna has revealed what it was like collaborating with fellow superstars Timbaland, Pharrell Williams and Justin Timberlake.
The singer tells how during recording of new album Hard Candy she was “used to being the diva in the room” and “had to adjust to sharing diva space.” She goes on to say that when working in the studio “sometimes there was fireworks” and “everyone was very opinionated.”
In the interview with Scene Junkie she claims that Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Pharrell Williams approached her to collaborate on a song but it was her idea for the four to work on her whole album. She said “I don’t normally work with artists who are performers.” and that in her opinion “they were difficult and I wasn’t.”
She ends the interview by saying “I just wanted to write sings that people couldn’t get out of their heads and hopefully I accomplished that.”
Hard Candy is available to buy now.
