17 year old Zoey 101 actress Jamie Lynn Spears has thrown a baby shower on Saturday at her parent’s Serenity mansion, in her and big sister Britney’s hometown of Kentwood, La.

To celebrate the  forthcoming birth of her baby girl, around 30 female guests were invited to the strictly family oriented party including the mother of boyfriend Casey Aldridge, Jamie Lynn’s mother-in-law-to-be.  

It was the first time in over a year that Britney had visited her hometown since her aunt‘s funeral. Pap-filled Helicopters circled over the family home while the local sheriff’s office attempted to keep photographers on the ground at bay.

"Jamie Lynn opened every gift," a source tells People. "We all sat in a circle and she opened gifts and thanked every person. It was just a good old fashioned baby shower."
