Amy Winehouse has had a bust up with Mark Ronson, with the producer claiming the singer “isn’t ready to work on music”.
The pair - who collaborated on Amy’s last LP - had been working on the theme tune for the next James Bond theme, but the sessions ended in acrimony after Winehouse reportedly proffered her opinion that the results were “f***ing rubbish”.
Ronson has now hit back when he said in a TV interview yesterday Winehouse “We tried to work for a little bit. I'm not sure she's ready to work on music yet.”
He added his proposed Quantum Of Solace theme was now unlikely to see the light of day.
“I don't think so unless by some miracle of science it gets recorded and someone sings a vocal on it, so probably not," he said.
A spokesperson for Winehouse gave a more anodyne response to the fall out, claiming, “Mark presented a track to Amy, but she had other ideas about the direction it should take.
"She has always made her own decisions about her music. Needless to say, this is part of the process between artist and producer and we're sure they'll continue to make great music together."
