Simon Cowell was left embarrassed after the girl he shared his first kiss with called in during a live phone-in on American Idol.
It can’t have been as embarrassing as Paula Abdul’s ‘drunken’ blunder.

The music mogul enjoyed an embrace with Tara McDonald-Smith as a child and was shocked when she called in to the programme to speak to him.

McDonald-Smith, now 46, grew up near Cowell in his hometown of Radlett in Hertfordshire, England, and she revealed she was seven and Cowell was just nine years old when they first kissed at the bottom of his parents' garden.

She joked: "It's OK. I've had a lot of therapy. I'm doing very well."

And Cowell took the call in good spirits, retorting: "This literally was my first kiss - this was my first crush. Do you still look cute?"

Simon's girlfriend Terri probably isn't too pleased.
