Pamela Anderson was unable to challenge U.S. President George W. Bush on behalf of animal rights group PETA at a gala on Saturday, because she left the event to sightsee.
The Canadian-born star made her first trip to Washington, D.C. as an American citizen on Friday when she hand-delivered a report to politicians blasting the U.S. Government for failing to update animal testing procedures.
The animal activist was set to continue her lobbying efforts at Saturday's White House Correspondent's Dinner, but the former Baywatch star and PETA Vice President Dan Mathews had left by the time the head of state took the stage.
A representative for PETA tells PageSix: "They hoofed it over to the famed Exorcist steps in Georgetown, packing in one last bit of sightseeing before carrying on to the Bloomberg LP afterparty at the Costa Rican embassy."
See Pammy and others at the event including the Jonas Brothers, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz here.
