The film director reportedly threatened to end their marriage if the singer went ahead with plans to adopt the child, after seeing her on a trip to Mumbai.
A source tells The People, “Guy and Madonna had the mother of all rows.
"He made it clear he would consider ending the marriage if she went ahead with the plan to adopt another child.
"Guy was one hundred per cent behind David's adoption, but then it turned into the Madonna show and he hated the way it generated so much publicity.
"So when Madonna mentioned doing it all again he went ballistic.
"He told her that if she went through with a second adoption it would be the straw that broke the camel's back."
